Enhanced for ReadyBoost

One of the cool new features in Vista is ReadyBoost. This lets you use a spare USB thumb drive as a caching device to speed things up. I don't really have benchmarks for this yet but the type of drive you need has been defined. Soon you'll see packaging and advertising saying Enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost" to help you out but this is what you need to look for:
* At least 500MB available for ReadyBoost cache
* 5 MB/sec throughput for random 4k reads across the entire device
* 3 MB/sec throughput for sequential 512k writes across the entire device
