Q. Do automated “robot” vacuums really pick up the dirt, or is a conventional sweeper the best option for cleaning hardwood floors?
A. Sorry, we can't recommend a specific brand or model but we've heard from consumers that these high-tech vacuums do work pretty well. Plus, they are now much more affordable, $300 to $400 compared with the $2,000 price tag when they first hit the market.
