Spammers have launched a new malicious spam campaign that exploits social networking site MySpace. The spam is designed to infect unsuspecting email recipients’ PCs with malware that converts their computer into a botnet zombie.

CNet: Malicious software targeting OpenOffice.org documents is spreading through multiple operating systems, according to Symantec.
Ok so OpenOffice isn’t nearly as widespread as MS Office. Still, a worm that spreads with different payloads depending on the platform seems worth worrying about to me.

Verisign has released a plugin for Firefox that turns the Web browser’s address bar green when users visit a trusted Internet site. The Firefox add-on is for early-adopters who understand its current limitations. The Firefox plugin only works with certificates Verisign issues.
