Google Cloud Print for Android

You can now print to your Cloud Print enabled printers straight from your Android devices. This is pretty cool. So far I haven't really needed to print from my Nexus 7 but this gives me more reason to finally getting Cloud Print set up at home.

Car Alarms Being Hacked

Apparently there is a new crime wave going on and the police say they don't know what the device is that thieves are using to defeat car alarms. They say it works on some models and not others.

From the article: "A Long Beach, Calif., surveillance video shows a thief approaching a locked SUV in a driveway. Police say he's carrying a small device in the palm of his hand. LinkedIn Now with Two-Factor Authentication

Kudos to LinkedIn for implementing 2 factor Authentication. I really wish they had used Google's authenticator but I guess, like Twitter, they didn't want to try and teach people how to use it.

Here is how to turn it on: http://www.slideshare.net/linkedin/two-step-verification-on-linked-in

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is now seeking eveyone's help to save podcasting for a patent troll.

From the blog post: "The most likely procedure will involve a new legal tool called the “Inter partes review” introduced by the America Invents Act. If we are successful in this process, the patent gets invalidated and Personal Audio would be unable to assert it against anybody."

Some info the the America Invents Act which became law in 2011:
