Microsoft warning about security flaw – Patch now

In a security advisory, the company warned of a loophole that could be used by malicious hackers to steal private information or hijack computers.
The bug potentially affects every user of the Internet Explorer web browser – around 900 million people worldwide.

If you use Windows, whether you use Internet Explorer as your browser or not, I think you should patch it immediately.

Fortunately, Microsoft has made this easy. Just use Internet Explorer to go to this page. About halfway down the page you will see 2 buttons labeled ‘Fix it’. Click the one under ‘Enable’ and then click Run. Once the utility runs, your system should be patched. No reboot needed.
