How to upgrade to Flash 10.1
The latest version of Flash is out of beta today. You definitely want it if you have a graphics card that can take advantage of the HD H.264 acceleration features. This feature off-loads some of processing to the GPU so that even lower end machines can run Flash more smoothly. I have been running the betas and I can say that it has proved helpful.
The key to a successful upgrade and particularly if you have been running the betas, is to download and then run the Flash Uninstaller. This will clear out any of the old code to keep things running better on your machine.

Then when that is done you can go get Flash. If you are on a Windows machine, I recommend installing Flash for Internet Explorer as well as other browsers. Things like Hulu Desktop use the Internet Explorer code to get things from the web and you will find that things don’t always work right unless you install for all.
