There are many sites on the web that have pages designed for mobile use.  Not all of them has an iPhone (or other smart phone) app version. Additionally, you might need to access them from some other type of small screen device. For example, I have an Archos 605 Wi-Fi Portable Media Player and it has a small screen and a web browser that works ok with most pages but benefits from the mobile version.

I’ve created a little Mobile Apps Home Page that links to various services that I use. It’s nothing fancy but I thought I’d publish the link in case anyone else wants to use it. You can find it here: Mobile Apps

Right now the set of apps is:

* Google Reader
* Google News
* Bing Mobile
* dabr (for Twitter)
* Foursquare
* Remember The Milk
* Facebook
* San Diego Traffic
* Fly FAA (Airport and Airline info)
* CA Hwy Conditions
* Weather Service

It works great as the start page for your mobile browser. I don’t have phones to test it on so I can’t say it works on all phones but give it a try. Works best on a smart phone that lets you tap on the screen. I have a Blackberry Storm I use it on.

I am still experimenting to get the right mix. If you know of a page that would make a nice addition, let me know.
