Is it really that difficult to get people off IE? My mum doesn't use the internet, but my similarly un-techy sister does and it was really easy to get her off IE. I showed her that Firefox was quicker and blocked pop ups (this was in the IE 6 days). My babble about security issues was background noise in comparison :)

I don't see Safari gaining much traction on Windows at all outside of the developer community, which I think is Apple's target audience here anyway. If talk about security and standards can't shift them off IE to Firefox, I don't see it working with Safari either, no matter who makes it.

Wouldn't it just be easier to redirect the Big Blue E shortcut to Firefox and be done with it? ;)
