Video: Camcorder Video Streaming System
Nikkei Electronics reports on a new system for streaming video. m-View, developed by Momentum Technology allows an ordinary camcorder and laptop to become a mobile video streaming solution.
The wireless 2.4GHz transmitter is attached to a video camera, which then sends the audio and video images taken by the camera to a receiver, which is attached to a PC via a USB analog-to-digital converter. The laptop then serves up the stream to the web. The transmitter transmits in 25fps PAL format, 760x576.
Not sure at this time if it will be available in North America.
